Opened in 2000, the 1.5-mile tri-oval Kentucky Speedway hosts four race weekends a year, including the Nationwide Series and Camping World Trucks. |

The speedway, which opened in 1990 and hosts two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events each year, is located about one hour north of Boston in Loudon, N.H |

The partners probably couldn't even imagine at the time that the initial 18,000 seats would give way to 147,000 -- the largest sports arena in the state and the toughest ticket to acquire in NASCAR. |

The track had been host to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Winston West Series, Camping World Truck Series and Featherlite Southwest Series |

Charlotte Motor Speedway opened its gates the same year, 1960, as Atlanta Motor Speedway, now a sister track owned by Speedway Motorsports, Inc. |

Strategy at this track consists of braking, shifting and execution of right and left-hand turns at top speeds. |

The track measures 1.5 miles around and is banked 24 degrees in the turns, and is of the quad-oval design, where the front straightaway juts outward slightly. |

The tri-oval speedway is surrounded by Musco lighting for night racing and sits on 870 acres just outside the small town of Hampton. |
